Custom Size Birch Bark Frame

This frame moulding is 2 inches wide.  If you are interested, contact me and I will give you a quote based the size and whether you need a mat and glass.   I am unable to ship frames larger than 20 inches in the longest dimension. If you live in upstate New York, we can probably arrange for a hand delivery of a large frame.

Do you have an odd size piece of artwork that would look great in a Birch Bark Frame? I cut and build the frames, so unusual sizes are no problem. I can ship a frame to you in any size up to 14 x 18 inches. If we can arrange a place to meet, I can hand deliver larger frames at no extra charge. 

Making a Birch Bark Frame is a labor of love. When I walk through the woods, I collect bark from felled  Birch Bark trees. I then clean the bark using a bleach solution to clean the bark and uncurl it. After the bark dries, I cut it into strips and apply it to a 2-inch wide poplar picture frame moulding that I cut to your desired size.  After the Birch Bark is applied, I decorate the corners with twigs.  My Birch bark and twigs come from upstate New York and the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. 

You may purchase an open frame, a frame with a backing and glass and even add a mat.  Contact me and I will give you a quote. Birch Bark Frames make a great gift and a way preserve a precious memory.
